How to Sell Online Courses with Thrive Apprentice & WooCommerce

In this lesson, you’ll learn how to customize templates in Thrive Apprentice. We'll cover your school typography, school homepage and header templates.

Let's head to the Design tab of Thrive Apprentice:

School Typography

This is where you'll edit the typography elements for your entire school. You can quickly edit individual elements; or, using the handy selection tools, you can edit all headings, all texts, or all typography at once.

School Templates and Header

The school templates include:

  • Default lesson template
  • Default video lesson template
  • Default audio lesson template
  • Default module template
  • Default course overview template
  • Default school homepage
  • Restricted course content template
  • Restricted site content template

The Header Section

The header section is a linked section that can be edited in any template. You can use the header section to link any menus you’ve created previously or to create a new menu for your online school with links to pages on your website, you can find out how to do that here:

The School Homepage

The school homepage displays the different courses that you have available.

Add in different sections on your page using the Course List element, and display specific courses by using the filtering options. Display your membership courses, free courses, list building courses, etc.

The Default Lesson Template

This is the template that you will use for all of the text lessons in your course. If you create your course content first, you can edit your Default Lesson page with that content by selecting the relevant page from dropdown in the top right-hand corner.

When making edits to any template, remember that the content that you see is dynamically generated, and the content is a sample to help you edit the style of the page. Stick to making design-focused changes such as the color, size or layout of the content.

The school template inside of Thrive Apprentice are 100% customizable, so feel free to explore and see what’s possible!
